Can I visit before joining?
Absolutely! Visitors are welcome at any club night. There is no expectation to pay any membership fees for the first few nights. Come and try it out first!
Do I need to bring my own chess set?
No, the club provides all chess sets, boards, and clocks for regular play.
What skill level do I need?
All levels welcome! We have players from complete beginners to experienced tournament players.
How much does membership cost?
Annual membership is £20, although we charge a reduced rate for members joining midway through the year. Please note that because we play in the Sudbury Institute Club, you will need to become an institute club member to regularly attend club nights. They also charge £20 per year.
